Welcome to the 5th International Time Geography Conference in Japan!

The conference offers a unique opportunity to present your research, discuss with interested colleagues, get new insights and deepen your knowledge. Focus of the conference is the time-geographic approach, its development, applications, current state of the art and its prospects.

We welcome researchers, teachers and PhD students from different disciplines in the international scientific society and hope that the conference will serve as a generative force for furthering time-geographic thinking globally and over generations.

 

The program includes keynote speeches, participantsf presentations, vibrant discussions and a field tour when we will visit the Tonami Plain, Toyama prefecture, one of the homelands of Japanese geography.

 

The conference is free of charge, but you have to pay for travel and accommodation.

There is a conference dinner on August 3, aiming to bring researchers together to discuss time-geography at the spot where the time-geographic approach was evolving.

 

On August 4, we will have an excursion around Toyama City, including Tonami Plain, one of the most important spots in the history of geography in Japan.
